Arab Planning Institute (API) has conducted a Training Program, entitled
“Project Appraisal with the use of COMFAR” upon a request from the
Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Sudan, 7 – 11 May, 2017. The
program is set up to present and explain the main concepts and
terminologies associated with the project appraisal. Besides, the
program includes a number of case studies mainly with the use of
Computer for Feasibility Analysis and Reporting (COMFAR). An extensive
case study was used on six textile products to train participants on how
to tackle the financial and economic analysis within COMFAR meganism.
The case explains, in detail, the main theme components of the COMFAR,
i.e. data entry, calculations, and reporting, based on the case study in
question.
